Welcome to Taylor Law Firm. We are a general service law firm located in Washington, D.C. Our concentration is in U.S. Immigration Law. We represent immigration clients living in all 50 states in the United States of America and around the world. Our Attorney works with immigrants from all cultural backgrounds. Therefore, he has the cultural competence that enables him to craft a winning strategy within the boundaries of the law. Our knowledgeable Attorney, who is also an immigrant, is here to help you go through the complex immigration process. He understands your apprehension.

Attorneys

Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC. He earned a Master of Law (LL.M) from Georgetown University Law Center. He also holds a Doctorate in Law (JD) with Honors, from Western Michigan University Thomas Cooley Law School in Michigan, USA. Prior to law school, Mr. Taylor earned a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.

Mr. Taylor currently volunteers at the Small Business Legal Advice Clinic at DC Bar Pro Bono Center, giving legal advice to small business owners. Mr. Taylor had also volunteered his legal services through Esperanza Center, the Immigration Legal Services at Catholic Charities of Baltimore, in Maryland. During this period, Mr. Taylor passionately worked with low income immigrants from all walks of life. 

In the context of  United States Immigration Law, Mr. Varney Taylor has worked and continues to work on cases that include but not limited to Asylum (example, gang based, imputed political opinion, political opinion, etc.), Adjustment of Status, Consular processing; consulted with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) applicants.

During law school, Mr. Taylor worked at the Elderlaw Clinic at Western Michigan University Thomas Cooley Law School, where he rendered general legal services that included but not limited to conducting guardianship review of incapacitated individuals, preparing Wills, Advance Directives, and Financial Power of Attorney for individuals who were sixty or more years old.

Mr. Taylor is admitted to practice law at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals in Washington DC.

Eric Nwaubani, Of Counsel

Eric Nwaubani has over 10 years legal experience, handling a wide range of legal matters, from immigration and bankruptcy to civil litigation and personal injury. Eric has represented individuals and businesses seeking a range of immigration benefits and bankruptcy protection. He understands the relationship between bankruptcy and immigration. With significant experience counseling immigrants, Eric has helped clients undergoing financial crisis find efficient solutions to their immediate and oftentimes complex problems.

Eric takes a hands-on approach with every matter, tailors his approach based on each client's unique circumstances. He graduated from Cornell Law School with an LL.M. (Master of Laws) Degree, with a specialty in business law. Prior to his graduate program at Cornell, he obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from Abia State University Law School, Nigeria.

He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of New York as well as Nigeria. Eric has represented clients in federal and state trial and appellate courts of many jurisdictions, including the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, and Maryland. He is thorough, strategically-minded, methodical and tenacious. He has a reputation for being immediately responsive to clients and working efficiently and within budgets. He is well-versed in e-discovery issues, and creative in coming up with solutions to resolve disputes.
